what we have Β· what we don't Β· how to reach us

We designed this to have nothing.

FilterNone is an anonymous, ephemeral platform for short text. We do not create user accounts. We do not set persistent cookies. We do not maintain logs that map Submissions to IP addresses or device identifiers. Each post exists only in volatile memory and is automatically purged approximately sixty (60) minutes after creation.

As a result, we generally cannot attribute a Submission to any individual. That's not a legal stance β€” it's an architectural one.

Almost nothing, intentionally.

18 U.S.C. Β§ 2703(f) β€” act fast.

If you need to preserve a specific Submission before it expires, you must act within the 60-minute TTL window. Send a timely, narrowly scoped request identifying:

If received in time, we may preserve the identified Submission's text and system timestamp pending follow-on legal process. We cannot recover Submissions that have already expired β€” there is nothing to recover.

How to reach us with legal documents.

Preferred: email legal@filternone.com with scanned, clearly legible documents. We also accept mail at our published address in Legal.

Requests must be valid in the relevant jurisdiction, narrowly tailored, and clearly identify the content at issue by permalink URL and timestamp. Nothing here waives protections under 47 U.S.C. Β§ 230 or other applicable law.

We can't tell you who posted it.

FilterNone does not retain IP addresses or identity logs. We have no way to attribute a Submission to a person. Network providers (CDN/WAF/ISPs) may maintain their own independent logs β€” those records are not under our control. Direct process for those records to the applicable provider.

Imminent threats β€” contact local authorities first.

For immediate threats to life or safety, contact local law enforcement. If you also email legal@filternone.com regarding an imminent emergency, include the permalink and exact timestamp so we can attempt preservation within the TTL window. We cannot identify users or provide IPs we do not possess.
